Blood request questions

How do I find a blood request near me?

Choose your country and, if you like, your division or district and blood group. The list updates as you choose and the link can be shared.

What does Verified mean?

A verifier who is allowed to confirm requests at that facility, or for a verified organization, checked the request details. Verification is not a medical decision.

How do I know if a request is still active?

Only active and partly fulfilled requests are listed. Each card shows how many units are still needed and when the request was last updated.

Can I share a blood request?

Yes. Use Share on the card or on the request page. Patient details stay private; only the public summary is shared.

Who decides whether I can donate?

The hospital or blood center that collects the blood. Social Blood Bank only suggests potentially eligible donors.
